Portfolio 7-Year Old UK Property Blog + Step-By-Step Platform

Looking to sell my UK property blog which includes a platform visitors can sign-up to (currently free) that takes them through the property buying and selling process step-by-step.

At one time the blog was getting 50k+ visitors per month and making around £4k per month. However, the site was hit by both the August 2023 core update and the March 2024 core update. Since then, we've spent a lot of time improving our content (something we are still working on) and the site has been relatively stable for a while but hasn't yet seen a proper recovery.

The step-by-step platform was launched just after the core update hit and so has never been pushed properly but currently has 56 members. It was custom developed using WishList Member.

The blog is monetised almost entirely through affiliate commissions from estate agents and related services as well as Amazon Associates.

Key blog stats:

Launched: Jan 2018
Annual Visits: Approx 50k
Annual Revenue: Approx £4k
Email List: Approx 700 active subscribers (currently emailed once per month)
Technology: WordPress

Also includes a few social channels (YouTube, Facebook, etc) but assume minimum activity on these as it's not something I've focused on.

Could I ask how you were monetising it during the peak ?

I've got a property blog which gets about 350 uniques a day but never monitised it as its never been a priority. Not keen on Adsense etc so just wondering if you were doing lead gen or anything ?

Combination of lead gen, Amazon Associates and a few affiliate programs for estate agents, insurance brokers, etc.

I never used Adsense at the peak as, like you, I'm not keen. I have it on now but only with minimal ad slots.
