So hi to all,

as I'm looking into the the uk domains, i saw that all product .co.uks and org.uks are already gone. I read this and that about .me.uks, and checked some sales. My first impression is that they are really hard to sell. I would like to hear more about it from the profis here. I found some one-word-product me.uks with between 5k and 10k exact local searches, and one two-words product with over 135k exact local searches. Except the last product, the others are being used from all of us, so they are pretty popular.

Do products have better chance for a fast sale?

Will be nice to hear some opinions,

Valentin.

I'll keep it brief. No.

In general, end users won't touch them, so domainers won't either ... and that was before the .UK announcement.

They're available for a reason!

Thanks for the fast answer cm1975,

you are right, that they are available for a reason. And what's that about with the .uk domain names? They'll be available only for UK-registered companies, or residents of the UK? Do you know something about this issue?

With best wishes,

Valentin.
