Acorn Referral traffic

I've noticed sporadic bursts of traffic in the last day or two from this referral url snip.to or http://sharebutton.to/

Any ideas where this is coming from, how it works?

Analytics referral spam

It's referrer spam https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Referer_spam from spam bots which plays around with your analytics. They're not real visits and instead there to get you to visit the sites.

I get this so much with Google Analytics and it ruins results unless you create a filter but there are always more sites being added each day
