I know there's a few on here who invest in start-ups so I thought I'd see if my proposal could be viable.

Over the last year or so of trying to sell Job online the one comment that kept popping up is "I don’t really need the domain but I would be interested in buying the software do you sell it" which got me thinking maybe there room in the market for a new job board supplier.

As few on here know I went back to Uni in September so time is a little more limited and rather than toping up my income freelance coding for others I'm thinking is there any potential in trying to get business selling the software off the ground.

In brief looking to raise £3600 to cover me whilst I convert my software that runs Jobs Online into a standalone solution and then cover a few months advertising when its ready.
In return willing to offer up to 45% the business which I expect to start trading July / August this year.
I’m thinking to lower individual risk 2 investors at coming in at £1800 each or 3 at £1200 may be preferential. I’d be open to splitting this into a number instalments as well if it helps sweeten the deal or just working with one investor its pretty much an just an idea at the moment

I've put together a bit of a draft outline and a few projections so if you would be serious about investing and want to take look to see if its a viable idea or just a pie in sky plan drop me a PM with your email and we can take it from there

The big challenge with job boards is content, and content that is sufficiently unique.

How do you tackle that?

(Not in the market to invest, just interested in the concept)

Hi martin your right getting about unique content its a nightmare despite some nice links I've never been able to get the site ranking for anything other than its main keyword so at the moment it just sits on the back burner. I'm not sure its possible to get a national site running without serious a marketing budget these days.

What I'm looking to explore with this proposal is there any potential to setup a business selling the software I developed rather than the site itself which I've tried in the past.
