Do you add your sites to search engines or do you just wait for them to get crawled? to get on the search results? if you do add them how do you do it, Is there a quick way?

Thanks

Hey.. I think it's down to personal choice, and I see no real benefits doing it a 'certain way', having said that many people like to let the search engines find the site through backlinks, personally I add all my new websites to google webmaster and yahoo site explorer, which gives me valuable information whilst indexing my sites quickly also :)

You don't need to submit them, although it's a good idea to submit to Bing because they are really slow to index as a rule.

One of the fastest ways to get pages indexed is to post the URL on a site which is crawled extremely frequently (e.g. Twitter or a big forum). It's quicker than submitting.

You could also try visiting the site in Google Chrome to get it indexed there.

Thanks for the quick replys, Yea I do google yahoo abd bing one by one at the more, just wondered if there was a quicker way to get out there,

I did not know that about google chrome! That is interesting to know,
Thanks
