I'm new to all this, so forgive me if I show it.

With adsense can a person have multiple websites of related content and have links within each to each or is this considered unethical or worse, would it mean suspension from the program?

Adsense has nothing to do with your SEO or link building activities .. crosslinking may harm your ranking or get your network banned by Google but AFAIK your Adsense account shouldnt be affected.

As far as I know, this is fine. I do it and have never noticed any problems.

Just to confirm it, I got a friend of mine had 2 of his websies banned by Google (web search) but Adsense was not affected with that at all

As far as I know this is okay as long as they have related content.
