I think Sedo have
seriously lost the plot with this one.
When you look at the names they're running with for the auction versus the names they rejected that we know of (never mind what we haven't heard about) it makes you wonder whether the people running the auction know anything about domain names at all.
From my own dealings with Sedo I've found them to be very inflexible when it comes to anything that doesn't slip neatly into an existing box, but I think that the poor quality of the majority of these domains is purely either a case of lack of any sort of domaining expertise or of "jobs for the boys", both of which are a bit worrying when they're supposed to be the leader in selling European domains.
Having run the figures on them, my favorite
premium adult name so far is BikeSluts.com - it's not registered in
any other extension and gets a total global search volume of, wait for it, 110 searches a month.... in the
entire world. Truly a premium gem of a name. Kinda begs the question why a name like Grant's cumshots.co.uk (every extension gone, exact UK match of over 22k) was rejected on "Quality" grounds.
Nice.
Do you think that maybe Mr/Ms BikeSluts knows someone at Sedo???
