I'm trying to put a data feed on a site from affiliate window, but can't get it to work..?

I'm just making a quick site in sitespinner does anyone know how to put it on? I've downloaded the .xml file but it doesn't display correctly if I embed it in the page

I've never tried it like that, I usually pull the feed into a database and then read the fields / data from the database into a PHP page.

If you can send me the XML file I will have a look with you.

You'll need to pull the desired data from the XML, you can't just embed an XML feed into an HTML page.

A simple for loop using PHP's SimpleXML library would probably be the simplest option for a small feed, bigger feeds that will span several pages might be better off from a local store, either build cached product specific pages or filter into a database (you'd need to run a few tests to see which performed quickest for your environment.)

Alternatively, if you did want to render just the XML file, then you could build an XSLT to pull the data into an XML format.

monaghan - I thought it wouldn't work as sitemaps are xml, but I didn't know any other way of even trying it. I just wanted a simple, quick store to bang on my website to maybe earn a few pennies, I never relised how complicated it was! I'll look into simpleXML
