What didn't make sense about what I said? . I just stated that the opening post is an intentionally convoluted/confusing way of saying that if you take your birth year and count up to the current year you get whatever the year now is. It's just phrased in such a way that is aimed to confuse people for comic effect.

edit: Oops, reread. I meant to say "year" instead of "day" in the post you quoted.
