Any value in registering single word .fm domains

I've seen that there are many single word .fm domains available to hand register, I wonder if there is any value in buying into the domain and whether there would be possible SEO drawbacks in using the .fm domain.

Primarily, I see these types of domains as being "funky" personal domains. Perhaps to run a an email service from?
