im thinking the only way im going to give up smoking is to be brain washed:roll: has anyone here had any success being hypnotized?

321, you're back in the room !!!

I've never had it done but i did smoke for 10 years and quit 8 years ago.

I had my last cig in a 10 box and said to the missus i'm not smoking anymore, she said yes right

I've not even had a drag in 8 years and feel fantastic, i dread the thought of ever smoking again.

You don't need hypnotherapy, listen to someone who give up using will power, it's well worth doing.

Stop smoking and start going to the gym or do what i did and take up a martial art, Taekwondo is a good all rounder, Thai boxing would be to much for a smoker, if you want something nice and easy do Aikido.

Finish your box off and simply never have a cig again, sounds hard but i did it and with the smoking ban should make it a lot easier for you, i had to go in pubs and clubs with everyone around me smoking.

£30 a week on cigs x 52 weeks = £1560, this time next year you could buy a doman to make us all jealous.

I'll do you a deal : you stop smoking and i'll stop gambling

Good Luck wayne ;)

I''l do you deal: you stop smoking, doodlebug will stop gambling,i'll stop buying domains...anyone else want to join in?

I've done hypnotherapy, for a fear rather than to give up anything though. But the principles are the same. Hypnotherapy is not like the Paul McKenna show - that unfortunately is very over-exaggerated. You still remain in control, conscious etc., you can't do anything against your will. Techniques used include Meridian therapy, EFT etc. used in conjunction with Hypnotherapy.
There are some people that promise to cure problems in one session - that's total codwash! You'll need quite a few sessions to really get to the bottom of the thing you wish to resolve. I was lucky to know a really good hypnotherapist who went to a group that I attended and I got a nice discount ;)...Expect to pay £100+ an hour for a really good hypnotherapist.

I gave up smoking once. After 3 months I thought I was doing alright. The 6 people working for me had a whipround and bought a pack of 20, then drew straws to decide which one of them was going to fling them at me and shout "suck those, y grumpy old sod".

You really have to appreciate that stopping smoking can affect the way that others perceive your mood.

Mark, your sick and need to see a doctor, how can you even consider stop buying domains :?:

Surely you don't mean what you say, are you suffering from bipolar ;)

I have been hyponotized on several occasions and have been taught how to do it to myself. However do not like to do it very much, in part because I am lazy.

I think its quite a useful too, recognizing that we all hypnotize ourselves each and everyday without realizing it "I'm no good", "If only"...its worth getting inside those inner voices to check that they are not leading you astray.

Try it with a CD from Paul McK, might be worth a crack, if not have a look at CBT. I think some of us could use a software upgrade sometimes, but perhaps not to vista...
