I had a camshaft dephader replaced on my car. At the same time they replaced a camshaft seal. Unfortunately I now have an oil leak which I reckon is down to the work they've done. I know absolutely nothing about cars and I certainly don't know what a dephaser is. Is it likely to be the seal or the dephaser. Cheers

More likely to be another seal on a cover they removed to get access to the camshaft.

Just take it back, and be gentle - unless they try to charge you more money, of course!

I'll phone them in the morning. I take it to what I believe is a genuine straight-up mechanic, but my lack of knowledge of anything mechanical leaves me feeling a bit of a plank when talking to em.
