Anyone set up a community interest company?

I have a friend who runs a monthly entertainment industry event in the midlands - it's for actors and crew and production type people to connect and they have established industry figures come to talk and be asked questions and thinks like that

She's interested in the option of turning it into a community interest company and was hoping to ask a few questions of someone who had experience in setting it up and exactly how it works

Is there anyone here, or does anyone know anyone who has done this? + would you be willing to talk to her via email or a phone call to answer some (I assume) basic questions around it?
