What with the current state of the DRS, has anyone considered waiding into a DRS on a prime generic with little to no evidence hoping the respondant fails to reply?...thus meaning you can snap up generics @ £750 a pop....is there any kind of limit on the amount of DRS's you can start in one go?, I can think of a few hundred domains i'd quite like to own and i'm happy to pay £750 each for them.

You're assuming that if the respondant doesn't respond then the expert will choose in your favour. You will still have to prove 1. your rights to the domain... and cos i want it isn't good enough. 2. abusive registration.

So irrelevent of a response. If 1&2 aren't proved then nothing will happen.

In an ideal world of course and a DRS where the bias is neutral.

The post is more tounge in cheek than anything else. :)

Having said that, points 1 & 2 aren't amazingly hard to argue...there are many factors to look at in which you could base your argument if there was to be no response.

I'm not suggesting people actually go out and do this.

Nope.

If everyone on acorn DRS'ed each other - just started with no intention of going through - it might make Nominet change the rules and make it a little harder to issue a nonsensical DRS.

...Nice idea Rob, when should we start? ;)
