if anyone is using BANS can you pop me a pm with example sites please. i want to see what can be achieved.

My brother-in-law does well with EPN but doesn't use BANS. He builds them in WP from the ground up.

To make money from EPN you need to be in it for the long haul. BANS isn't the answer Paul, IMHO.

Paul, if you want to try bans then i have a licence i have never used, just drop me a pm.

thanks squire, i have a licence its just ive dug it out today and wanted to discuss with the board on its popularity before i spend days on it.

What do you have to do to get a goddam ebay affiliate account. I've been rejected 3 times now, the first example site I used was unsigned.co.uk, can't fathom it out and they don't give a reason??

Grant, maybe you should declare a domain with meaningful eBay keywords in it? I don't think they'd be impressed with that domain.

phpBay or Auction2post are two other alternatives. I have used both and they are both good - phpbay pulls just the listing title, photo and price while a2p pulls the full description which is good for content but obviously runs the risk of duplicate content.

send me a pm if you want and I can point you in the direction of sites which use both so you can see them in action

Google has not banned BANS sites specifically, it just doesnt like pages and pages of ebay auctions with no content, ie the standard BANS configuration.

First major tip, remove any auctions from the index page. Only add categories when you have also added content that importantly outweighs the number of auction listings on the page. Add some nice content pages, reviews, product information etc.

If anyone would like to see some examples feel free to pm me.

BANS is a good thing to use as long as you do it properly. Mat and I both have good BANS sites running, its all about (as Mat said above) putting more content on your domains than ebay auctions.

most of my sites use the standard BANS software but I'm working on one that links it to wordpress (use wordpress for the content building and SEO and use BANS to pull off products from ebay)

its a long haul, but get it right and they can be good money earners.

well i applied for the ebay partner a week ago and still nothing, how long do these people take lol

well you guessed it, got denied lol.

so have to email them to see why...what a joke....ill try one more time then scrap it...
