I've been using Daily.co.uk for most of my hosting but last night/today they migrated their data center, so all sites went down for 9 hours.

Well, the migration is apparently now complete, but what I'm experiencing is sites loading e-t-r-e-m-e-l-y s-l-o-w-l-y (like over 1 minute to load a simple webpage!) and it's so slow that I can't log into my wordpress admin panel.

Is anyone else with them, and are you experiencing similar problems?

If this is what they've become then we'll be parting company pronto.

There was some talk the other day on a hosting forum about them moving to an out of London DC over the bank holiday, the suggestion was that they were unplugging everything and moving it all rather than migrating to new servers, so it should have been quite a simple exercise.

Could be a network issue, I'd speak to their support guys and see what's going on.

I've just spoken to their support guys this morning & they're trying to tell me that everything is okay, which it clearly isn't.

Far from providing a better service all that they've done is make a relatively slow host into an imitation of a dial up, and it looks like their customers are starting to revolt.

I've found a new hosting provider from a smaller company that I'm seriously thinking of moving everything to, it's just such a ball ache to have to do it.

I've not only had people up & down the country testing the sites for speed of loading, I've run traceroutes and had daily them sleves admit that other people are complaining.

I've seen orders dry up, which isn't surprising - if you go to an online shop & you get no images for 2 minutes when you click on a page they just leave & go somewhere else.

They are taking the piss with a piss poor service that just doesn't work, and I heartily recommend that if they don't sort it out pronto that you avoid them like the plague.

I've got a few sites hosted with Daily. Yes annoying it all went down for 9 hours on Bank Holiday Monday (day when people will be using net more so in the daytime)..

..although since back up and running has not been slow from what I have seen on my sites.
