Anyone on here using the domainview drop list? Is it accurate, even up to 60 days and does it have the ability to filter by single dictionary words and destinations etc like the 7 day domainlore one does?

I've emailed domainview to ask but no response so far which is a little concerning.

I don't recall an email from you. When did you send it? As I'm sure other members can vouch I usually am very prompt at responses. Anyway to answer your question you can't currently filter beyond your own search pattern. ie you can look for all domains containing the word 'london' but it wouldn't actually filter them out as geographical domains. As far as accuracy I'm not sure what you mean. Domains that are suspended enter the lists. If they are renewed they are usually removed within 12-24 hours.

yeah must say rob is normally very quick in answering his emails.

I have caught a few names with his script

Never had a problem with it. It even gives you names dropped with a keyword search, very handy.

Hi Rob, sent last night (maybe around 11pm) to your support@ email address. I did expect a prompt reply so don't worry, won't hold it against you ;)

By accuracy I just meant does it contain all keywords. Maybe I'm too use to the free services which are slightly less accurate.

I may sign up tomorrow and give it a shot. Would be great if anyone has a suggestion of how to use the data to search based on certain criteria like single dictionary words etc because domainlore offer it so I assume it is automated and not some poor bloke going through them one by one ;)

Just order them on the day by year registered.

Any single word domains (not registered to a domainer) would nearly always have been registered in the 90s

Ah, very good point.

The standard of both the DV toolset and Rob's service are excellent. Wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend them.

Yep highly recommend Domainview and Rob's customer service has been brilliant. You can always just try it for month.

Just wondering, is it normal for so many of the domains on the 60th day of the drop-list to no longer be suspended? I thought the system checked this or does it not do so until closer the time of dropping? Great list but too easy to get carried away thinking you've found an amazing domain only to see it was renewed ages before.

Nah it's when it messes up

Rob usually fixes it pretty quickly though tbf

Hope so, it makes checking so much more difficult, especially when you see such amazing domain names that require time to check and see they were renewed. Hopefully Rob will see this and resolve as a result.

The problem with 60 day names is many have just been sent the suspended email, so days 50-60 lots get renewed, then the 7 days before drop the next email lots get renewed too.

Worth becoming familiar with who is a domainer and who isn't lots of us leave doamins until the last min to renew :)

I absolutely agree with you there, but the trouble I have is I'm not a private catcher, so have to rely on the public ones, so there is a huge requirement to book them early, even if they then get renewed. If I was 100% relying on my own script, then naturally I'd wait til just a few days before, as many do, but alas, I'm not ;)

I was more meaning, names are renewed on the last minute. If you know who is a domainer, and who isn't you can reduce your work load by not bothering with their tag.

Yeah, I knew what you mean, steer clear of A HUGH and S HILL etc etc. The trouble with the 60 day list (as it stands) is that the majority are not even showing the TAG, so it is impossible to avoid them without first doing a whois check. Hopefully Rob will resolve and at least help reduce the number of false positives in the list.

Rob replied promptly to confirm a fresh scan today. Great service.
