Google Adsense Apart from Adsense - any favourite ways of monetising

Apart from Adsense, wondering what other programs people are using to monetise their websites? I've got quite a few niche sites with some well targetted traffic so am minded to start finding affiliate programs for all of them but before I do wonder if there is anything out there that people particularly like at the moment.

We used to use Adsense but it's no longer an option unfortunately - and anyways it had become very low in terms of earnings.

Just be a bit careful about putting to much affiliate content on your site, the big 'G' don't like it too much.

Personally I don't think it's worth doing affiliate stuff unless the value of the items are £100+ or you are shifting large quantities.

My best results are with car hire, as the average sale is around £150 so at least you are getting £10-£20 per sale on average. but the competition is high.
