Hi, I'm new to the forum so… hello.

I purchased the domain g1phone.co.uk last year with a view to develop the site as a hobby with my friends. It fast became apparent that it was taking up to much time and as a result, I haven't touched it for some time.

I'm now looking to sell the domain/site and was wondering what it could be worth?

Also, I never sold a domain/website in my life and would like to now where to start.

at least 500 thousand, perhaps even a million - you could email google and offer it to them for 250k for a quick sale.

seriously - its prob worth a few quid if you get some affiliate sales before your locked away

Julian, that initially made me laugh, now I'm wondering if you were being serious?

I'm a total novice to this and don't know what to do.

He wasn't being serious.

Best thing to do (IMO) is cancel it - You don't want the wrath of Google over a <£10 name.

Rgds

Only other slim possibility would be to sell to a phone shop in Glasgow City Centre, with a postcode starting G1.

I thought the site was ok, especially after the website was approved by T-Mobile before displaying affiliate advertising.

This site was created for genuine use, surely I would of been contacted by now.

We've sold a few phones through the affiliate program and been paid.

Am I swimming with the sharks?????????

have you got double locks on all of your windows and doors, cctv in every room and bullet proof shutters on all your windows, just don't step outside your front door....,no seriously they will ride you like a mule untill you cannot take any more...beware you have been told

Point taken and lesson number one in domain names learnt.

I'll get it sorted.

Thanks for all the great advice guys.

I used to dabble with TM domains - they're easy money. However, after feeling the wrath of 3 very large companies i decided to focus entirely on generics ;)
