Apps for Iphone and alike

Has anyone had an Iphone app built for them?

And am I correct in saying (i know iphones can't yet) if an app is built to show flash, iphones can then view flash but using the app for that use it was built for.

I want a live video feed and on-demand video app building that is streamed as a flv file.

Any ideas welcomed!

Try the guys at TVCatchup.
They have had an iphone app kind of built. not a proper app but streams video.

I don't think that any kind of Flash will be allowed into the app store. I understand that Adobe have had working versions of Flash, but Apple will not sanction the release.

I thought most people turned flv into mp4 on the fly before squirting to the iPhone (eg. bbc iPlayer). I noticed a news story on the iPhone dev center last night; I will take a looky and see if it has any pointers.

YHes - lookup "http live streaming" on the iPhone reference library on apple.com (you might need a developer ID to see it, mind you).

It covers: sending video on demand with encryption and authentication.

There are various rules relating to size and bandwidth if delivered over 3g etc.
