.me.uk domains are plentiful and do not seem to be worth much. Is this because search engines seem to ignore them - or because people are not likely to key them in opting for .com or .co.uk ?

The reason I ask is I always believed .me.uk were ignored by the SE's but come across a website in top place of Google for a huge keyword. Competition was over 2 billion ! and OV rates the keyword as 3.2 million searches per month ???

they r not ignored by se's. the right ones have value.

do not listen to crap abt them not being transfered etc as it is bollox.
They can only be transfere to individuals - not companies.

Google, Yahoo, MSN do not differentiate between co.uk, org.uk or me.uk

me.uk's are good for moneytising but don't expect to sell on. Only register if you are going to develop.

Your chances of reselling a me.uk are very slim but because there are still a good few prime generics available to reg, they are a good bet for adsense/affilate minisites.

Also:
If you are thinking about developing, read here

I do develop and run adsense on many of domain portfolio so this type of post was right up my street.
