whoops i also ment to ad EU. to the list.

of course with the right domain name attached to them , or would you stay well away from them ?

how do their prices tend to compare to .co.uk and .com

I think some .tv domains are worth buying if it's the right domain. I see more convergence of tv and the net, so it's worth being prepared, imho.

I would always look at local exacts first, and then consider global data if local is unavailable.

These extensions can be worth buying, but you have to be so much more careful than with the stronger .com and .co.uk. E.g. call.me is a great domain, but many other .me aren't worth regging.

Also, these extensions may be fine if you want to use the domain yourself, e.g. I have a few .tv and .me, but less suitable if you want to sell the domain.

My personal opinion:

.org is not bad at all especially if .com and .net are parked,
.me - I wouldn't go for it,
.biz - OK domain, have some .biz(s) ranking quite well,
.us for the UK market is pretty useless,
.info should be top class for me to buy,
.mobi - not interested,
.asia - have no clue about value or monetising,
.tv - should be specific,
.eu - yes.

Thank you for the info (no pun intended) , i regged around 12 .infos on sunday , all i thought should be quite good is :-

curryrecipes/ /inf0 , it cost 68p or something like that , whats been your experince with getting a .info ranking ? is it possible ? do you know of one that is top of its search term , i'd be interested to examine that particular one furthur to see what helped to get it there.

The cheap, double discount on the .info won't be possible next year - it's full price to renew, so take a 10 year view on the domain when registering it for 68p in the first year!
