off the topic here :)

when you drive down the road and see pvc banners pinned to railings, are these legal or illegal ? and do you need permission to display these.

any info appreciated

there was recently an article in our local paper about these kinda flyers. there are fines ( quite large ones i think) for anyone caught doing it. il dig it out and have a look

cheers, ok where do i go for permission ? any ideas

Nick, they will as its revenue away from the papers!

Yeah, i am not sure about illegal, but the councils take them down and if your unlucky enough send you a bill.

Well youre definately thinking in the same way I am/was. I found could get a good banner done up with a domain name on it and was/am going to stand on the m25 bridge one morning see what result I get.

ok what if i stick one one the side of my car and park my car on a street corner where the sign is facing the on coming traffic :) would that be legal/illegal

There was a company that wrote their web address in chalk on the pavements outside offices in London, quite a few years ago now.

I've got an odd feeling they were done for littering or something stupid, but I'll stand to be corrected if anyone can remember the company.

cant find my paper right now. bin day tomorow so thats more than likely were its ended up.

i do remember it listed the fines, extra fines per day if the 'boards' were left up and the original fine not paid and how it can legally be done etc. i think there a few other members on here from the milton keynes area? maybe they read the citizen last week or still have a copy...
