Why does everyone on here recommend 123-reg? Is it because you're affiliates and its a way of funding the site? Or is it because long-term they are the cheapest? I buy domains for £1.99 for 2 years is this a good price?

I thought the Nominet fee was £5.50 flat for 2 years and 123-reg took 9p per year as their margin?

I use 123reg, tried others,but find 123 best, what I do not like is the increase in price for renewals, that is reason i've tried others. Heartinternet is cheaper for renewals, but at end of day , a website that you find easy to work with is worth what is a very small price to pay for ease, although I would give 123 more biz if it had level price for renewals.
