Rob Brydon stood in for Ken Bruce all morning on Radio 2!

And nobody suspected!

Rob was brilliant!

It was like a slightly drunken Ken Bruce. My wife thought he was having a "Tony Blackburn" meltdown moment.

Best ever April Fool's prank.

That sounds brill, I am a Heat FM kind of person so wouldnt know what the real R2 sounds like but I do like Brydon.

Don't normally listen to Radio 2 myself, but my wife made me listen to this morning. Rob sounded like Ken Bruce with maybe a drink inside him, but not enough for you to think it wasn't Ken. Millions must have been taken in!

Sounds brilliant, wish I heard it.

A friend of mine is doing quite substantial alterations to some retail premises. This morning there were builders on site working away. My friend got a call from the "planning office" to say that they have been advised that the alterations are in breach of planning regs etc etc and was on his way to carry out an inspection of works. He called the guys on site, made them stop work, down tools and get off site so that he could meet the "planning officer" without the interruption of the builders. After pacing up and down and fearing the worst, another buddy of ours turned up, the "planning officer" .......... APRIL FOOL !!

I can't wait to find out what the payback is

I knew straight away, I didn't know who it was, but to me it was clearly not Ken, so I assumed it was an April 1 stunt.

I didn't hear the start or end of the show to hear any explanation though.
