I set up on average one new community / news site per month and spend time getting it launched.
Up until now I have always used vbulletin to do this with vbadvanced and a little customising.
I would love to know if any of you have any thoughts on other software that could be used to build a community site? It does not have to be free.
It should have at least
Homepage area
Forums
User profiles
Software I already know about includes
vbulletin
phpfox
joovili / ifdate
community builder
anything from boonex.
Would love to know if there is anything else out there worth looking at.
Specifically, I am now about start a project that focuses on an entire city / town rather than a subject matter so I am going to need to collate business information directory, forums, town news, links resources etc so anything that can do that sort of thing too would be funky.
