Hi,

If I dropcatch a domain that is related to my website and has some links/pagerank/traffic what is is the best way to pass on that good stuff to my main website.

Is it:

a) Create a one page website saying - "this site has moved click here to view the new site" perhaps with a automatic redirect after a few seconds

b) http redirect

c) full page frame redirect

Thanks for any advice, I'm new here by the way.

You should be able to set up a redirect from your domain management cp. If not then a meta refresh would work fine.

i understood it was just a domain without hosting

if this is teh case forget the redirect in teh domain management ( frame redirects and all that junk )

create a .htaccess and add teh following line ( / redirects everything after the domain name to wherever

redirect / http://ww.mydomain.com

Surely if the domain is without hosting there is no where to host an .htaccess...

My main concern is about transferring some of the pagerank from the dropcatched domain to the existing site domain, I figured the type of forwarding used would have some effect on this (I have both domains hosted).
