I am getting e-mails, sometimes several/day offering about 1/10 what any reasonable person would offer on my solid .coms.
I have a feeling that a new strategy is to send out 2000 lowball offers and hope that 1-2 accept. It could actually be worth it for them, but what a pain in the neck.
I get an e-mail from Moniker: "you've received on xxxx.com", and get excited until I read that its for $30.

I tend to agree with both of you.
Great when you get a deal that you are both happy with, which is obviously most of the time.
I say not all the time as sometimes you have to take offers to cover the bills as long as not too low.
Also you develop favourites, rightly or wrongly where you either see a big development potential for it, or just love the look or sound of it, hard to let them go.
I've had some good ones lately on sedo, for .info & com though.
Taken a couple weeks of haggling though, seems people are very savvy.
Incidentally, for the lowballs of like 50 quid
I know you can set a min. price, although i only bother on some......

How do you set a buy it now price on a domain?
Do you have to do it when adding the domain in first place? as i cant see a way to do it in domain management. Is there a way?

Disagree and agree, there are more methods of creating worth or value drivers other than quantification financial value. The only reasons domain names don't have worth until the point of sale is ASB regulation which prohibit revaluation because of longevity of use or life cycle and the means of valuation.

It depends on the distinction between domain names and websites :twisted: estimated value 50 pence :mrgreen:

they become so much more valuable......getting a domain is easy, getting traffic is a little harder, getting some deals and partners is harder
Get the 3 and then its worth a lot more as most people cant be bothered to do it
