Big drop of 1300 .uk domains last night

There was a big drop of relatively low key .uk domains last night (about 1300 names). These are not high value domains to speculate on but there are quite a few interesting names for those who just like to pick up names for their own interest, development, traffic etc.

I picked up one which is just what I needed for a project, but there are a wide range of names not taken as of this morning. As I say, they are not high value but they are niche.

Just shows you how .uk is such a mess no one wants them still today people refuse the .uk and buy the co.uk from me

Some fairly drastic thinning of the portfolio. This week close to 3000 names dropped or in the current queue. That generates a flood of notification emails from Nominet.

Careless admin resulted in a few babies out with the bath water, but nothing tragic. A small proportion of drops picked up on catching scripts, apart from that it is a sad reflection on the state of .uk

I am looking forward to a small list and simple management.

Another big drop of 2000+ .uk domains last night.

I'm resisting the temptation today, but there are some good niche names such as:

puritan.uk
goodbooks.uk
giftedchild.uk
nursingcare.uk -***[edit] I cracked and registered this one, being a nurse myself...
queenofhearts.uk

countless others along these kind of lines

Just double checking the November drops for .UK ccTLD. Seems to be a change of -821,986 between 01 November and 01 December 2019.

The seem to be clustered on domainhasexpired.com (794,941) and that's 123-reg.co.uk's graveyard DNS.
