Found a big fat green parrot in my garden.. maybe someone knows what model it is?

What/who would you contact? They keep seeming to be cutting back on wildlife rescues I know they closed my local one down last year and I dont think RSPCA will take lost pets. Besides someone would need to come out catch the fella.

Had a couple of African Grays when I was a kid and they where not tame, vicious little suckers. I dont know if this ones tame, no tags on his feet that I can see and he's not trying to make meaningful conversation with me.

Anyway he seems happy enough at the moment sitting in my plum tree eating me plums ;)

Of course if anyone fancies one (not for a Sunday roast) your more then welcome to come round and catch the fella. There not cheap!

There's a very good chance that it's actually a wild parrot. Check out this BBC news article. Of course where I'm living they're all over the place, noisy little blighters.

Never even considered it could be a wild one.

These hundreds of e-mails, including photographs, highlighted hotspots such as west of London, Surrey and parts of Kent.

I live in Surrey, never seen a parrot on the loose before.

brave man!

Hi nuke,
That was a very brave photo you took considering the rich fruit diet the little swine is obviously enjoying! Doesn't look like a parrot though, otherwise might be worth as much as parrot.co.uk !
It looks like a parakeet or something, obviously enjoying the weather in balmy surrey. Not sure how they can afford a property round there though!

Its an Amazon parrot! tall sucker about a foot.

If I look hard enough im hoping to find a tribe of Amazon women at the bottom of the garden.

fair bit of meat on it then... would rethink that sunday roast ;)

Don't let it leave the area - it's probably a spy employed by another dropcatcher. Clearly not a very good spy...

Could be a homing parrot...train it to take DAC requests ;)

yeah me in a latex predator suit dogging a fat bird in a northern car park. it would be a site to behold. if you get dnadult.com to sponsor me, i'll do it. say £300? The fat bird will get a cut. Probably off a millwall fan as chesterfield beat them 5-1 on sat. Sorry Lee! It hurts me too as their my second team (& have millwall shares) why did i admit that!
