I have been offered 65,000 ukp for the boats.co.uk domain name but I think it is worth a lot more than that with recent generic .co.uk domain name sales going through at between 150k to 500k region.

Running a business on the Internet has got to beat running a conventional business.

I have just had the uneviable pleasure of witnessing how a conventional business collapses due to rising fuel costs, rental costs of equipment, lorries, cars, repairs, rental and taxes on business premises, new emission regulations making vehicles worthless overnight.
It seems that the prices paid for generic domain names are more than worth it!

My god. The potential for something like boats.co.uk is huge. I have friends who easily spend £20k+ each year on what can only be described as their boating addiction. However I think people searching for boats don't don't use boats as a phrase.. its more a kids term searching for boat pics.

I am getting more offers above the 65k so in the end the value is in how much people put on it.

The future income potential is massive.

Remember that some boats sell for 10 million quid and more.
Take a look around the marinas in the med.
Take a look at the boats in marinas around the Solent.
Add up the value of all the boats at Cowes week this August!
