Got offered £18k for this name a month ago by an american developer but i think it's worth a bit more than that to the correct end user, as it's had few interests so far.
I have a few big ideas of what to develop the site into, but it will need a lot of time and money, so i'll rather sell now and concentrate on other projects.
Best offer takes it.

18k for cabservices.co.uk - that will almost certainly be your best offer so take it and run like tifosi says (and just to be clear, I'm not offering 18k!!!!)

If it was only a month ago I am sure if you went back with £15k or even £10k for a quick sale they would oblidge.

It will be interesting to see the whois change on this one :)

it's had quite a few interests from small transport companies, but i believe the chaque will be bigger if a more established company comes calling.
I'm looking to sell the name by mid week though as i'm travelling and wouldn't really have much time for anything else.

Then again they might have sobered up.

I contacted him to tell him i was willing to negotiate , but he had already bought another name for the project he said.
Oh well

I fear it will be easier for Wales to win this years world cup.

That was my point - work it out :)

It is a shame that you didnt cash in on a domain that was free n' fresh to reg for a fiver on April 1st 06 yet has a bid of £18k inside a couple of months.

Out of interest what was the opening bid? Reason for asking is that its been parked at sedo since registration with zero bids, so I am guessing they contacted you direct via post and to get an offer like that must have taken some negotiation!?

Likewise the knowledge of the WHOIS must be higher in 'transport companies' than other industries as for my names at sedo I generally get offers via the Sedo system rather than a posted letter via snail mail (not email as no MX's on Sedoparking).

Remember some of the 'value' of a domain is the likelihood of an offer :)

I think I've got the same keyboard problem as you.

Everytime I type 8k I gate a k after it if you see what I mean.

I had a word with the tech staff at MS and they say it's been happening to alot of people involved in domain names recently - they call it the American Buyer Virus.

There's a few more people on here have got it too.

I'd have flown to the States and delivered the registration documents personally for £18k.

i would send you to do that slater, but you have no business knowledge i'm afraid.
Anyway thanks for all your comments but i would rather you all stick your opinions to yourselves as this is a sales thread.
If you cannot afford a domain, just take it on the chin and quietly leave the thread.

Slater is better at this game than I am and I'm good.

In my opinion, Nu_star you are either a fool or a liar. If you were offered £18K for that domain and didn't take it, then you are a fool.

Said the guy that turned down £18k. (maybe it was a dream)

Slater, FC Domains, aquanuke, etc., on here know domains inside out.

I don't claim to have the worlds greatest business mind but..

Buy price £6
Sell Price £18,000
Profit Margin 300000%

Even someone selling a top quality .co.uk would be happy with that kind of return, as Rob mentioned in an earlier post I would approach the original interested party and offer them a 'bargain' at 50% the original price, if they went for this you would still be laughing all the way to the bank.:)
