I bought this for a dating site concept I had but never got around to developing it.

Works either as:

Candid -(d)ating

Definition of candid = Truthful and straightforward; frank.

Concept = basing matches on a series of true/false questions to ascertain how well people are likely to get on

or:

Candidat(e) -ing

Concept = people who have spare tickets for an event put the "date" on the site and people can "apply" to go with them - a bit like applying for a job - i.e. being a candidate.

If you had actually registered candiddating.co.uk then that would certainly be a reasonable name for a dating site (albeit the double d is a bit annoying so you might have wanted the hyphenated version)

I don't understand what you've actually registered though, it doesn't mean anything, you are having to explain it (which is a bad sign) because of this lack of meaning....I just don't get it I'm afraid

More of a brand play really - definitely one for the end user rather than a domainer because it requires a bit more of a marketers viewpoint to appreciate I think.

The double d would have been terrible for branding purposes in my opinion.

So now you're waiting for an end user to come up with the idea of calling a site candid dating with one of the d's removed or the other equally unlikely option.

5 lottery tickets would have been a better option I reckon :)

Sorry.
