I own quite a few celebrity domain names and was wondering where you stand legally with them ? I have one which is getting over 1000 u/v a day

I know a few others on here have celebrity domain names and it would interesting for someone to shed some light on this

Thanks

You are usually safe until you get a letter from them, after that personally I'd consider you've done ok uptill then and hand it back.

But until you get that letter, crack on!

If there is more than one person in the world with the same name, celebrity or not they have no case to claim it is theirs. In any case they would have to prove that they are the only person in the world with that name!

Rich

thanks for all your comments guys they are appreciated. With regards to there being more than 1 person inthe world with that name, if your site was a website with information / images about the celebrity etc, would that change anything etc as you are obviously using the site for financial gain etc ?
