Celebrity names - worth it?

There is a recent thread here asking to buy celebrity names and quite a few domains being posted for sale.

Famous/celebrity names also occassionally pop up in the drop lists.

What's the position with copyright, trademarks etc?
I know a lot on here steer clear of obvious TM names but people names?

Is there a good market or not worth the hassle?

The position is that most celebrities have not taken out a trademark to protect themselves. However, top footballers have representatives that have started to arrange brand protection, i.e. trademarks, for them.
