Was looking at some recent sales and thinking how CHEAP some of them really were. canalboats on a dot com less than £2k! How much does a canal boat cost, £30k+. babycream on a dot com £1.5k, what is the world wide market for baby cream!!!!! It's got to be worth more than £1.5k.

So are these end users picking up a bargain or shrewd investors??

Then the other extreme sees a three word like freeonlinegames on a dot co dot uk go for £20K, how much exactly are you going to make from giving away FREE games online??

Madness, luck or very very smart?

They are very cheap sales!

Free sites make alot of money. Take free videos like break.com and ebaumsworld.com etc.

Every domain / site that uses the word "free" makes mega bucks on advertising, or uses the email address of the users. most people around the world won't pay for games online. They will always search for the free solution

The sales prices reflect the volume of searches on the respective terms. If you look at the number of searches for "free online games" you will see that the search traffic is very high:

Yer so free games are popular and with high traffic and a few pence a click you may oneday retire.

CANALBOATS!!!!! and babycream beggers belief!!

Thing is, is canal boats a term used in the US?

This would account for probably the .co.uk being more valuable to a end user than the .com

I agree with the free issue, these sites get masses of traffic, far more than making someone pay for the game.

I also think the LLL.coms are worth more than they usually sell for, even on Sedo. Two letter domains are now as rare as chickens teeth, so the next best thing is 3. I think $10G is a snip if you are investing long term, because when some successful business wants it, they are willing to pay.
