Our first TV advert debuted yesterday, I'm pretty excited about it!

I can't provide much information as I had nothing to do with the production or scheduling etc, richardc managed all of that, but thought it good to share

Well done Dave Advert looked fantastic, would be great if you could share some information like the kind of response, traffic percentage increase after an advert shows etc........nothing that gives too much info away i understand.

How much does an advert like that cost to produce and air now days ?

Nothing to share just yet metrics wise, we're essentially in a testing phase right now, airing on secondary channels at less busy times of the day, seeing what kind of response we get. We're using mnc.uk.com and they're doing a lot of the grunt work in that respect, scheduling times and monitoring traffic levels etc.

I don't know much about the costings, but one thing we discussed is that once you've produced an advert like that, you can edit it and spin it several different ways so it will last a long time.

A site like this could actually bring more people into childcare self employment rather than work for someone who had the money to buy a building.

Excellent advert. With regards to cost or production I would also be interested if you could send me a PM when you know. The reason being I am partner in an advertising agency here in Malta and we film/edit/produce adverts for the local TV market from several hundred pounds up to 5 figure ranges. I wonder what the going rates are in UK at the moment.
Also please keep us updated on your progress - I hope you do really well with the site.

Saw it yesterday afternoon while flicking through the channels, domain immediately caught my eye and thought then what a cool ad. Friend who was round who is a Nanny immediately said 'that's a great website'

The advert looked great overall

The voice over woman sounded quite like Davina McCall, which I suppose is a little bonus.

Be interesting as everyone else says to see if the advert turns into traffic, in my (albeit limited) experience traditional media on the whole was very expensive and not a good ROI compared to online stuff.

I saw it while watching kids tv with my little one, it was on the TinyPop or Cbeebies channel (can't remember which) and wondered if it was anyones on here! Thought it was a really well made advert so well done for being part of it!
Look forward to seeing what kind of response it got with metrics etc etc

Great advert, really ticked every box in my head ... i was slightly disappointed with the look of the site if I'm honest, didn't feel it was as professional as the advert but still great work on the ad

I really like the look of the site to be honest. Too many sites these days favour style over conversion and this site is straight to the point and very easy to use.

I like the way it deals with the two types of users to the site too, those looking for childcare and those looking to register, very simple and straightforward.
