Hi,

Looking to register a domain for my sister but need a registrar that will allow me to change the MX records in the zone file so that she can use Google Apps. Needs to be reliable. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

123-reg have a nice DNS control panel you can alter server destinations with.

If you are wanting to use a windows server FAST2HOST use HELM which if you reg elsewhere and change name servers to them also have a nice DNS editor.

Thanks very much for the great reply GDG. I was in a hurry today, so I went with ukreg with their promise of 'complete DNS management' which turned out to be essentially non-existent. So I went for zoneedit.com and was finally able to do all the zone entries that I needed there. Got Google apps set up for my sister now with her own domain.

You can use full DNS tools without ordering any windows hosting packages.
You do not need take our hosting package.

This can be done for MX records.
