I'm selling CODE.CO.UK.

Had a number of great offers through Sedo, but not quite good enough. DN is not optimised in any way, you buy as is (some prefer it that way). It was one of my business sites, but i am raising funds for a new project.

The uniqueness of the DN is obvious, as is the revenue potential.

PM with offers.

Can you give us a rough guide price if possible please?

Cheers, Grant

The Sedo figure should be ignored, but the offers to date (through Sedo) & privately have been 5 figure ones, but just not high enough. Any sale through here would not go through Sedo.

Hope this helps!

What is the daily traffic on this domain, and the daily revenue through sedo please.

Just to re-iterate, i have not optimised CODE.CO.UK in any way, and the crappy Sedo interface is not letting me make any changes to the domain, so please ignore the asking price shown there.
As i've said, CODE.CO.UK will be sold, it is only a matter of who will snap it up!

New price set for CODE.CO.UK

I've finally managed to remove the old asking price at Sedo, only to find i can't enter a new one, even though they've already given it a high valuation themselves! How frustrating.
Anyway, thanks for some of the PM's regarding offers for CODE.CO.UK. The asking price (if i can get to re-set it) has been changed to 15K, so any offers approaching that will be seriously considered.

Cheers,
Programmer.

Selling CODE.CO.UK

No content, or stats, formally used in a business of mine. Offers taken by PM greater than £10k.
I am trying to get something else off the ground, thus the very reluctant sale!

code.co.uk

At last, now have two live offers.

Other interested parties, please PM bid or for details.

code.co.uk

The best offer here up to now has been just £4,500.

This domain name was Sedo valued two years ago at £15,000. Opinion sought- Is the offer about the highest one might expect to achieve here, given that nature of the forum?
Or am i better retaining it, and even maybe starting the business back up?

I would have thought that Sedo's value would be an end user value.

On here, you are more likely to get offered reseller prices.

I think it is worth more - I thought you had had five figure offers? - but there's a big difference between a valuation and actual offers, whether end user or not.

Sedo's is just a valuation. They didn't offer you 15k. The current highest bidder is offering 4.5k in money.

You can't spend valuations :D

It's risk v's reward.

Spending £5k and selling it for £15k is a £10k profit, however, you might never find the end user prepared to buy it and therefore be stuck with a £5k loss.

a lot of wholesale - retail businesses work at a minimun 100% markup, which based on a £15k retail price, would be £7.5k wholesale. Add in the added risk factor of a possibly never finding a buyer, and I would say £4.5k is a reasonable offer.

Obviously this is just my opionion, and you can ignore it if you like :p

Cheers fred. Mulling time i guess!

Sounds like you missed yr chances if you are now willing to sell at less than half of previous offers ;)

imho I think its a nice domain but its got limited end user use, as mentioned 4.5 k is good offer...and this forum is mostly peopl ewanting to buy @ reseller prices not speculation ;)
