Guys,

A domain I'm looking at via whois.sc has an expiry date of 2013-06-xx and has a status of clientDeleteProhibited. I then go to the registration tab and see that it has an expiry date of 2014-06-xx.

Where's the beef?

Richard

Auto renewal by registrar prob means its got a booking to be caught/transferred.

Can you elaborate more on this?

Can a registrar automatically add a year purely because someone wants to catch it? The domain surely should go through the expiry phase (2 months) - in this case, it hasn't.

You have a lot to learn about .com land, they have drop partners, names dont even need to be dropped they can just be transferred to new owner, they dont need to wait 2 months either.

Have a read of some .com drop catching sites.
