In the "make a domain earn a £1 a week" thread Paul suggested that doing a search on the bbc website for your website then linking to the search result would result in you obtaining a link to the bbc (eventually!).
A couple of people challenged this however and in the end it was never really settled as to whether it worked or not.
Does anyone know if it does or does not conclusively work?
