CreditCards#gb.com

Hi guys,

I know its just a subdomain but there were few sales of quality keywords in the past. And with such keyword I'll be happy to renew it until I'll get some decent offer.
Any comments much appreciated

Didnt even know there was a .gb.com when did this come about? do they rank at all in the uk?

Im sure some daft end user would pay a few grand for it as its such a popular product.

Card companies are all about the “brand “never heard of any corporations buying gb.com..? You could try and develop it but think you would be wasting your time

I have no idea how they rank as this is the only one I own but there are quite a few in use, you can check it by typing "site:.gb.com" into google. I managed to find only two rather old sales, so if anyone knows of any other sales please post it here.

shopping.gb.com

play.gb.com

I have a few of domains of this type. I believe it is only a subdomain of www.gb.com, so that kills off the market as it puts off serious domainers.

Given the impact of the credit crunch, there is unlikely to be such a good market for this now either.

It is only a subdomain, yes. And it seems pretty much dead.. Have you had any offers for your gb.com's or know of any relatively recent sales?

No, I could only find the sales you mentioned. FYI the names of this type I hold are:

homeloan.uk.net
carhire.uk.net

I'm going to develop the carhire one, I'm not sure yet about the home loan one.

All I'm saying is if you're not going to develop, I would put it up for sale quickly and not hold and hope.

Thanks for the input.
I don't think I will try to develop it as this sector is extremely competitive and I don't have the resources to promote the site. I've just listed it at Sedo on featured listings so we'll see how it goes :)

Apart from above the only I know about

Sex gb.com $550 Aug 09 Sedo
Domains gb.com $70 Aug 08 Sedo
Auto gb.com $82 Aug 07 Sedo

Thanks namealot, I also managed to find the ones you mentioned - at dnsaleprice.com
Well, it may not be the most popular extension ever, but it still should perform OK with a PPC campaign. I'm just not sure how it ranks but ranking sites in that sector is extremely difficult anyway..
