Nominet DAC latency increase

Anyone else noticed an increase in the DAC round-trip time?
It seems I'm not the only one

As long as it stops any single person dominating it's all good. But I'm sure they'll go back to 'normal' in the next maintenance which I think has been set unusually early?

So you think this is a counter measure?
This is what I'm trying to work out, is everyone seeing this increase?
Is this artificially added by Nominet or do we need to look at network routing?

Well it seemed to coincide with things becoming suddenly more random and nominet did say they were looking into some things/people. However I doubt that's their intention, they're not known for being helpful - probably just crap system setup from their end. I'm seeing it from 4 datacentres though so probably like that for most of us.

That's reassuring. I personally wouldn't mind this staying as is if the end result is fairer access.

Well routes seem unchanged so this is internal processing at nominet. Maybe a fake random delay introduced but more likely some systems not performing properly.
