DAC problems (maybe) -- RESOLVED

Is anyone else having problems connecting to the DAC at the moment?

All eight of my memberships are having trouble connecting

Hmm, I'm just getting this:

mrscolumbo# telnet dac.nic.uk 2043
Trying 213.248.200.23...
Connected to lvs-mw.nominet.org.uk.
Escape character is '^]'.

Connection closed by foreign host.

Have tried it from two IPs and no worky...

Aha, sorted it - all my fault - sorry for the false alarm and thanks for the response Paul.

My GF and her sister have had a few problems connecting - but they're new.

I only bought the TAG's for them two weeks ago

Yes but more importantly (and I can't believe no-one else mentioned this), is your computer really called mrscolumbo?

That's cool :)

Disappointingly, no it isn't - I changed it for the quote just to see if anybody did notice...

My problem was entirely my fault - I accidentally had two versions of a script running on one machine and one version running on another. This resulted in an attempted three connections to the DAC whereas you can only have two.

So they all tried to "gangbang" the DAC and were treated accordingly. When I tried to connect from the command line in my quote, it just terminated the connection after connecting.

I live and learn.
