30 - 40 is about right for an average estabslished site. 50+ I tend to see signifciantly different in results compared to the lower 30 - 40 averages, almost like the 50+ are the old school PR7+ for comparison sake, with fast entry of new content to desirable placement. Obviously not relying on a metric alone.
