Looking to buy a new set of desk-top speakers (blown my last pair to bits) Nothing too expensive and only using an integrated sound card anyway.

something around the £50 to £60 mark would be ideal. Need to have a headphone input and manual volume control are my only must-haves.

If anybody has a recommendation for a discount site or better still a product I'm all ears :p

I just have Logitech 2-10 speakers
25 watt, manual control, headphone socket.

Definitely load enough, nice bass but work perfect on a low volume aswell.

Had mine for 2 years and love 'em 8)

Cost less than £50

Thank you for the feedback guys, fortunately my pair of Harman Kardons have sprung back to life (must be a loose internal connection)

However I had fun checking out the desktop suggestions and market (Now consider my self an expert, without having listen to any of them)

One thing I have learnt though, is about Ebay - never having used it before. so made a bid on a pair of 1 year old Bose desktop Series II speakers, thought my bid of £35 would capture them.

Wining bid was £60 (not mine) + sellers PP of £9.95.

You can buy the bloody things Brand New (postage free for £77)

I guess for buyers Ebay must be as addictive as domains - that's the only reason I can see for such high bids for second-hand gear

Hope you're happy with your current speakers, as for people Ebay bidding silly prices you always see people bidding £19.30 on a £20 gift voucher :?
