Just read an article that UK holiday makers are shunning the Med for other destinations in what as become known as 'the mett' which includes Turkey, Egypt, Morroco and Tunisia.

The mett is predicted to make up 38% of all UK holidays abroad by 2012

I jumped at the chance of registering themett#co#uk and thought it might be gone, well it already was in .com but not .co.uk so I bagged it

I think this could go for £xxxxs in a couple of years time ?

IF others start calling it The Mett then you have indeed grabbed a beauty. IF on the other hand, others dont start calling it that (only the Co-op at the minute I believe?) then you have grabbed a granny

I would be inclined to say it WILL be known as that though, especially as it seems to be mentioned in every newspaper online...so should get you a nice chunk of change

Personally I think the actual destination names are much better, that's why I have Morocco.me.uk and TurkeyHolidays.org.uk. If you search "The Med" on Google, only two AdWords ads come up. That's because it's a general term and not a specific search. The specific searches are much more targetted and will be much more profitable. Sorry, but I think there are much better domains.

Yes I guess if it is going to sell in the future then it would be good to back it up with the .org.uk, I was just excited at having the .co.uk

All changed now because I just regged the .org.uk aswell.
