The biggest bargain I have ever seen. I had plans to bid but an 8pm midweek finish? Crazy time to end.

If the buyer wants to flip, PM me.

I really liked domain and was surprised sold for so low
however, different spellings may have played a part

chili and chilli

also, doesn't pass radio test
what about people thinking chilly? and other spelling

as far as 8pm Lee midweek, why is that a bad time?
I think a good time
not like 2am on sunday morning
people have finished work for most part so maybe if have a 9-5 people won't be travelling to and from or at desk

Chile, Chilly, Chilli, Chili, Chillie, Chilie, the spellings are endless, and limiting, this was my comment when discussing this, and ruled it out for me.

I was only thinking 1 l or 2 lls and didn't consider mistakes and the country and temperature.

For me 8pm is a daft time. I don't know anyone that does a 9-5 and for me personally, at 8pm the kids have just gone to bed and I'm having my dinner :) - Sunday @20:00 has to be the optimal time for a finish, I think there is an internal EBay report floating around that confirms that.

I hadn't considered the misspellings, the only one that is similar is chili, but as soon as you type it out you know it looks wrong.

I'm gutted to have missed it to be honest.

Might fail the radio test, but thousands of companies use the name.

Sale of Redchilli.co.uk bought me my new car a few years ago - even through it was subsequently dropped and caught.

Wouldn't that be selling to consumers though, might be pretty different for business to business.

Not saying you're wrong though as I have no idea of the best time.

Maybe someone should do a poll on here asking for peoples preferred times that an auction would end?.

I agree with Pred.
I was after the name and I must be the only one who thinks the price is fair!
The end time was good and really you can bid on your mobile these days so no excuse for missing it. If the auction is important for you then I think you find the time to bid.

Agree with that - I think the final price is quite fair for this domain.

RE: the time to end, I dont watch it enough to understand how many businesses actually purchase from there. I doubt its many however I may be wrong.

Im still smarting at missing out. :x:x

I remember years ago sitting in a firm that used a variation of the spelling the most common thing I heard was the receptionist spelling the word ( they have since re-branded) ) The likely confusion as a brand for me lets it down. But if potential buyers are unaware of other spelling or don’t think its relevant or matters then it’s a name I could see going for more to an end user but you've gotta find one first ?…

I was expecting it to sell for more too but then again in November 2012 Chilli.com only sold for $10,000 and in the ratio of .com to .co.uk prices in general you have to say 1.9k is actually a good price.

It would be considered a mis-spelling in the US, hence the low price.
