Why such a big gap in price?

Hmm, my guess would be because TVs are more established and have been around for a lot longer than laptops have. With changing technology and products such as smartphones, tablets and netbooks there are more alternatives for laptops than there are for TVs.

Whilst we're on the topic of prices, who want's to make an offer on Petrol-Prices.co.uk?

I can't agree with that wb, from the google exacts it shows a similar amount of people search for "tv, laptop prices", they are similar priced produts, I'd say the likely hood of people by laptops/tvs on the net are pretty similar. The difference in price is ridiculous!

Didn't check the searches would be interested to know the opinions from the five or so different bidders that decided not to go for the laptop version though.

This might be the classic case of it only needing 2 bidders to make an auction, hence the high price for the tv domain.

A quick search on google for tv prices shows leddtvprices.com, hdtvprices.co.uk and comparetvprices.co.uk all in the top ten results - maybe a couple of them were bidders?

A similar search on laptop prices doesn't show any similar type sites
