Finally got a site listed on DMOZ and it only took a couple of months! woo hoo! Usually a nightmare with them. Your expected to submit your site and then wait upto 3 years to see if it was successful and not know if it wasn't!

Well done...

Submitted my forum a couple of weeks back and was looking to see if it was listed last night...

Guess I'll have to wait to see....

3yrs minus 2 weeks = Mmmmm... LOL

One broken link found in your website or don't have a reliable webhost ( downtime or slow connection) and you would not be listed on Dmoz
Boom thats it!

I don't think this is correct.

I happened to notice quite a few duff (internal) links in DMOZ itself the other day.

It seems to me genuine business sites are easily accepted, run of the mill sites are more tricky.

You might be interested in this "sort of" article i wrote with help for a DMOZ "edit all" editor.

It was really written for people how know nothing about dmoz at all, but its cool that DMOZ editors actually approved of the article and promoted it on their open and private forums.

You probably wont read much you dont already know, but if interested its at Submitting your website to DMOZ, The Open Directory Project.
